Twenty-Eleven-Plus-One
What? Only 5 miserable posts last year? Thankfully 2011 was nowhere near as lousy as my commitment to this blog: indeed, high school is over, I’m now living in a different city and working for an awesome startup. This was never possible without some awesome new (and old) friends - you know who you are. But I know you’re not here to hear me ramble. So here’s a cookie:

"Death is the destination we all share"
Unless you’ve been wearing earplugs for the last 12 hours, you’re likely aware one man that didn’t only redefine the computing and digital media industry but also inspired many people, including myself, to understand the true meaning of life. I won’t waste my time speculating about the future of Apple or look back at Jobs’ greatest accomplishments. No: the best way...

Mind The Gap: Focusing On Priorities
If you’ve been following me for the last few weeks, you probably know that I made it safe and sound to London nearly two weeks ago, in order to begin my Computer Science with Management degree at King’s College London (and my desk is a lot messier than this, if you’re wondering). After one week of sightseeing and eating nachos off the floor (true story), I was quickly blown...

It's true, I'm moving to London!
You might have seen the tweet or maybe I talked to you personally (yet, in that case, you’ve probably known about this for months). Yes, it’s true, I’m starting a Computer Science with Management course at King’s College London, a top-rated UK university, in September, just over 1 month from now! If you know me personally, you’re likely not surprised at my course...

Birthday boy!
Today is my birthday, so I felt this was a nice time to update this mini-blog, especially since I haven’t written anything on here in nearly 4 months. As of today, I’m officially 17 year old… yes, I know, 17 years of my life are destroyed, gone forever, but not my ability to almost certainly waste my next 17. So: 1- In case you haven’t heard, GeekSmack and I made a mutual...

Wow, it’s 2011 already! 12 days in, I already began scratching stuff off my 2011 list of resolutions and I see no end in sight. Today I’m also announcing a partnership with a site: GeekSmack. As some of you probably know, my relationship with GS has been pretty on and off. I joined the site in July 2008, left for a first time in April of the following year, just to come back a few...

It’s been nearly about 2 years since I last coded, and since then a lot has happened, so I guess this kinda marks my return to my coding roots. I had this idea about a month ago when iTunes 10 came out and shortly thereafter I started writing up this little app that aims to streamline the bloated Apple-provided installer. Today, I’m proud to introduce (and release) the first public...

TWiT gets it right with TNT
Back when I got into podcasts 2 years ago, I always believed in daily live tech programming, but sadly back then there really wasn’t anything compelling enough. That’s why last month I was excited to learn Tom Merritt, Sarah Lane and Becky Worley (all former TechTV personalities) had just been hired by TWiT to do a daily tech show. I checked out the premiere episode live yesterday and...

This is what good tech support looks like
Those who are following me on Twitter (and if you don’t, please do, it takes 3 seconds, so do it) have probably noticed (speaking of which, are you following me already?) I had a little issue with Seesmic recently that rendered the client nearly unusable. Of course I’m not happy I had the issue, but it’s awesome to see a company that has a Twitter account just for asking them...

It's like Twitter on steroids!
Well, I’m not sure if it’s twitter on steroids or Facebook on drugs trying to do math problems, but those are the words a friend of mine used to describe the site. Cloudica, as it’s called, is a brand-new social networking site built by a 15-year-old that I think might have some promise. It’s Twitter with no character limit and with the ability to post links and images....

Oh, I’m so glad of being a Chrome user. I’m seriously considering installing it on different computers in the house and see how my parents react. Probably not too well considering how different Chrome is from IE or Firefox. But on the other hand I feel like I’m putting them at risk by letting them use a buggy and outdated browser.
