Crazy Tech News Countdown: QWERTY slider for the iPhone, supersize your iPad storage and the first question of the week
Yet another week has gone by, one filled with crazy or just plain silly tech stories. What we do here is we search through hundreds of feeds everyday in order to bring you only the freshest crazy tech stories of the week. And for the first time this week, we have a question of the week. So without further ado, let’s count down this week’s stories:
5- Who said the iPhone couldn’t have a physical keyboard - Back when the original iPhone came out, many complained about its lack of physical keyboard. Even though 3 years have gone by, many still go for the Blackberry and some Android phones. This Hong Kong-based company plans to release an iPhone accessory in the US that pretty much solves that problem. For $65, goodbye iPhone, hello QWERTY slider!

4- Your iPad storage is too small? Supersize it! – Sanho, the company that brought you battery packs in the past, is now at it again. Their new product, HyperDrive, turns your 16GB iPad into a 750-gig one. The compact external drive can be plugged right into the dock connector and without a computer, it can store all your media, including a whole movie library, which I doubt you’d ever dream of doing in the past. The drawback? The price starts at $300 for the 120 GB and goes all the way up to $600. Still, if the price goes down, I can smell the iPod classic going out the window?
3- Cleaning a pool can be a pain, unless you own one of these solar-powered babies – I wish I had a pool, but on the other hand I’m glad I don’t have to go through the pain of cleaning one. Thankfully though, there’s a solar-powered pool cleaner making its rounds. As long as there’s sunlight, this baby will float around the pool and remove a lot of dirt from the surface. And as its solar-powered, it doesn’t add to your carbon footprint.
2- Got a song stuck in your head? Unhearit – You’re trying to work at 3 in the morning but you don’t seem to concentrate because of a silly song you’ve had playing in your head for hours. Thankfully, there’s unhearit.com, a new website that plays a catchy tune whenever you need help moving on from that awful song you have in your head. I have to say it worked with me many times.
1- RL + Pacman = This piece of awesomeness –
Question of the week: With much of our food becoming artificial nowadays, scientists have come up with a way to grow genetically modified salmon that grows much larger and faster than regular salmon. My question is, would you eat it?
