You’re writing a blog post and Firefox crashes… fear not! – Probably one of the worst things that can happen when you’re typing up a blog post in your browser is having it crash on you, or worse, the power goes out and you lose all your work. Thankfully this Firefox add-on automatically saves all your text so you can get it back once you start your browser back up. It’s Firefox-only right now but it’s undoubtedly really useful. Will this make you switch?

4. A mirror that can tell how healthy you are – Who knew that with a simple webcam you could make a mirror that tells you your pulse rate? An MIT team is working on a bathroom mirror that can sense your health and hopefully someday even detect your blood pressure just by having you stare at it for a while. This could be very useful to prevent heart attacks and other health problems.

3. Next time you go grocery shopping, keep this in mind – On a quest to end all problems known to man, freaky gadget makers keep bringing awesome products to the market. It’s the case with this awesome wall-mounted grocery list maker. You push a button and just speak to it. Just say the name of the product you want and it’ll memorize it. Then when the time comes for you to go shopping, you tell it to print a neat little categorized list you can then take to the store and, well, get deeper into debt. But this is killer.

2. Welcome to the world of fake trees… and cell towers – You can complain about deforestation all you want, who can blame you, but at least cell companies are trying to make up for the trees lost. Well, with plastic trees they can use as antennas! Structures like this have been popping up all over the place and kinda make you wonder “why?”. Or you’ll just go back to playing Angry Birds during company time.
